Vapor (the poetic principle), 1998
Media installation: video projection and standing fan
Collection: Isreal Museum
Excerpt From Documentation @ Herzeliya Museum 2018
In this early work, the existence of the image is signified through a missing dimension of its realness. A video of wind blowing through trees is projected onto the whirring blades of an electric fan, It is a direct, visual and sensual summoning of the image of the Bible’s first murder victim, Abel (after whom the work is titled in Hebrew).
